Reliance Communications is an Indian Internet access and telecommunications company, head quartered in Navi Mumbai, India. It was founded in 2002 by Dhirubhai Ambani. It has established a pan-India, high-capacity, integrated (wireless and wireline), convergent (voice, data and video) digital network, to offer services spanning the entire infocomm value chain.

It provides CDMA, GSM mobile services, fixed line broadband and voice services, DTH depending upon the areas of operation. It has Voice, 2G and 3G services.

Reliance Communications is the fourth largest telecom operator in India with 109.80 million subscribers as of April 2015. Reliance Communications had 33.7 million data customers in which 17.4 millions are 3G customers and 16.3 millions are 2G customers as per July 2015.

Reliance had 3G Customers than 2G Customers. It is the only Indian dual technology operator(GSM, CDMA) nation wise. Also it uses some other technologies for various purpose like CDMA2000, EVDO REV.B, GSM, EDGE, HSDPA, HSPA+, WiMAX. The market share of Reliance Communication is 11.84% as of September 2014.

The reason why the customers is more for 3G service is, because the Reliance announced the price reduction of 61% on 3G services.  In 2011, Reliance provided up to 28 Mbit per second data rate in India with its MIMO technology. So the number of users raised to use 3G services.

Also Reliance provides 3G services in Uttar Pradesh East through Aircel’s 3G network and in Uttar Pradesh West through Tata Docomo’s 3G network. It also allows Tata Docomo customers to roam on Reliance’s network in Delhi, where Tata Docomo does not operate.

Reliance Netconnect service offers you Hi-speed wireless internet access across India. Reliance’s cutting edge CDMA 1x network can give you high-speed internet access, up to 144kbps.

Reliance offers Hi-Speed 1x service through a suite of Reliance Netconnect products like PCMCIA and USB Modem data cards as well as data cables for mobile phones and fixed wireless phones. Using this you can connect the internet through the laptops or desktop.Reliance has many features like Better surfing speeds, Upto four times faster speeds than dial-up, SMS and voice services. ALos it offers more traffic charge plans for both prepaid and postpaid service.

Number of employees in Reliance is 8500. 2.8 million retail outlets are available in India. The net income is 6.72 billion as of 2014. The Cheif Executive (CEO) is Gurdeep Singh.
