Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is an Indian telecommunications company, head quartered in New Delhi, India. It was founded in 15th September 2000.  BSNL is the India’s largest and oldest communication service provider in India and 5thlargest mobile telephony provider with 12 crores subscribers as of June 2015, its Indian state Government owned enterprise.

BSNL provides technology such as GSM, EDGE, HSDPA, HSPA+m  CDMA, WiMAX, WiFi. It has footprints  throughout India except for the metropolitan cities of Mumbai and New Delhi, which are managed by Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL).

BSNL offers both fixed line and mobile services with broadband connections. Also it provides both 2G, 3G and Postpaid , prepaid mobile services in India. In BSNL mobile service, it offers a host of value added  service like voice mail, SMS, Roaming, Call forwarding, call conferencing etc. All India roaming facility is also available on BSNL mobile prepaid service.

BSNL provides almost every telecom service in India. Some of the main services like Internet, Market share, 3G, HelpDesk, Wi-Max, BSNL Landlines etc. For 3G service, BSNL paid the Indian Government Rs. 101.87 billion for 3G specturm coverage. It offers coverage in over 800 cities across India as of 2011.

BSNL offering applications like video telephony, mobile broadband, mobile television and video-on demand to users. In the future, users can expect the launch of services like music downloads, video tones, instant messaging, online gaming, bill payment and more.

BSNL launched in 2012 a 3G wireless pocket router named Winknet Mf50. It was released in collaboration with Shyam Networks. It enables the connection of multiple devices to the internet using a single SIM Card.

BSNL 3G provides HSPA+ service with highest speed of 21.1 Mbit/s downlink and 5.76 Mbit/s uplink.

BSNL launches Mobile Wallet with cash withdrawal option on July 2015 in New Delhi. It allow its customers to transfer money, pay for services as well as withdraw cash of up to Rs. 1 lakh. The Wallet Service, Speed Pay, allows a customer to load money even if he does not have a bank account.The money loaded in the mobile wallet can be transferred to a bank account and even withdrawn at bank branches or at BSNL outlets. BSNL has launched the service in partnership with IT company Pyro.

BSNL Speed Pay card service will be available in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu by the end of September.

BSNL also launched entertainment service BSNL Buzz in partnership with Celltick.

Using this service, BSNL customer using the feature on smartphone can subscribe to various contents like news, jokes, contest etc for Rs. 10 per month. The service also deliver location based information services in seven languages including Hindi, English, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu.

  1. please setup bsnl internet connection in my Karbonn titanium s109 mobile phone.It shows me network connection problems.
