Youtube is a video sharing website, the service was created by three former paypal employees in February 2005. The Google bought youtube for US $1.65 billion in November 2006. YouTube is the 2nd largest search engine and the 3rd most visited website worldwide, behind only Google and Facebook respectively.
Youtube allows you to upload, share and view the videos, it makes use of Adobe Flash video, WebM technology to display a wide range of user generated and corporate media video. The available content includes video clips, TV clips, music videos, and other content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos.
In youtube, most of the videos are uploaded by individuals, some of the corporate media like BBC and CBS, Vevo are offering some of their materials via youtube. Using youtube, unregistered user can only watch the available videos but only the registered user can upload videos to their channels.
Youtube contains many features like video technology (i.e., Playback, uploading, quality and formats etc). Also it allows billions of people to discover, watch and share originally-created videos. YouTube provides a forum for people to connect, inform, and inspire others across the world and acts as a distribution platform for original content creators and advertisers large and small.
